For the past two seasons, Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud has been one of the biggest stars in college football, and now he’s headed to the next level as one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft. But through all the stardom and attention, he is sure to put his faith first.
During an interview with Fox News this week, C.J. Stroud opened up about his faith, revealing that it’s the foundation of his life.
“It’s what’s kept me grounded even through my season,” Stroud told Fox News. “Football has a lot of ups and downs, it has a lot of twists and turns, but at the end of the day, it’s all about your foundation. And something that’s set my foundation is my faith. It’s something I’m not perfect in, but I try to work everyday to be better, and I definitely think that’s what saved me. If it helps encouraging anybody to help them in their lives, whatever they’re going through, then I’m all for it.”
Stroud will now take on a new challenge in the NFL, but it’s clear that he will be relying on his faith at the next level, just as he did throughout his college career.
