Journeyman NFL quarterback Chase Daniel certainly hasn’t exactly become a star in the league since he signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent back in 2009. Throughout his 13-year NFL career, he’s appeared in a total of 72 games for six different NFL teams, only starting five of them. But even if he hasn’t gotten the notoriety, he’s certainly earned the paychecks.

As football news editor Brendon Deeg of The Score pointed out on Twitter on Sunday evening, Chase Daniel has earned an absolutely insane amount of money throughout his 13-year career given how little he’s actually played.

“Chase Daniel has completed 178 passes over his 13 year career. He’s made $43 million doing it. Legend,” Deeg said on Twitter.

If you do the math, that means that Daniel has made just over $240,000 per completion throughout his NFL career. It’s an absolutely absurd stat that highlights just how lucrative a career as a backup NFL quarterback can be. As a result, the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

Daniel’s entire NFL career has basically just been one gigantic finesse, and it’s certainly safe to say that the majority of the NFL world has plenty of respect for him because of it.
