One of the issues for the Kansas City Chiefs in their season-opening NFL Kickoff Game loss to the Detroit Lions was the absence of star tight end Travis Kelce due to a knee injury. Last Sunday, the Chiefs got a good health update on Kelce, with Fox’s Jay Glazer reporting that he had suffered just a deep bone bruise and was “on track” for Week 2, and this Wednesday saw him return to practice. And early on Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kelce is in fact “good to go” for the Chiefs’ early afternoon road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars:

Despite Kelce not being able to play yet this regular season, he’s certainly been a topic of discussion. Some of that’s been about the Chiefs missing him on offense (especially after a rough opening night game for receiver Kadarius Toney), while other parts of that have been about the reports that he’s “quietly hanging out” with music superstar Taylor Swift (which even saw Tony Gonzalez ask Kelce’s brother Jason about that on Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football postgame show this week). We’ll see how Kelce does in his return to the Kansas City lineup this week.
