Star Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey has spent a lot of time on the injury report throughout his NFL career and has appeared in just 10 games throughout the previous two seasons. He’s on the injured report once again this week – though he is expected to play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints – and he had a pretty hilarious quote about his status.

According to Carolina Panthers beat writer Joe Person, McCaffrey used a little self-deprecating humor to address his most recent stint on the injury report, making light of his lack of durability.

“I think at this point if I went to take a leak during practice, I’d end up on the (injury) report,” McCaffrey said according to Person.

It’s a hilarious quote based on the Carolina running back’s extensive injury history, and the NFL world greatly appreciated his candor and brutal honesty on Thursday.

So far this season, McCaffrey has been quite effective for the Panthers. He has 135 yards and a touchdown on the ground this season on 25 carries while adding eight catches for 50 yards.

McCaffrey is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the entire NFL when he’s healthy. For the Panthers, really is just a matter of keeping him off the injury report.
