The Cincinnati Bengals received a major and hopeful injury update on one of their star players.
Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase has missed time with a hip injury. That injury didn’t look great for him at first. However, Chase progressed in the right direction. And on Friday, his status improved even more.
Chase was officially listed as questionable on the Bengals’ injury report. The Cincinnati wide receiver was limited in practice for three consecutive days. With no apparent re-aggravations, Chase could be on track to see the field for the first time since Week 7.
Quarterback and former teammate of his at LSU Joe Burrow had alluded to Chase’s positive progress earlier in the week.
Before he suffered the injury, Chase was on a torrid pace. The former LSU standout had racked up back-to-back 130+ yard receiving games against the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. He had 605 receiving yards in seven games with six touchdowns in 2022.
Cincinnati certainly survived without Chase. They won the game he ultimately got injured in against the Falcons, 35-17. After a 32-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Bengals won 42-21 against the Carolina Panthers and then 37-30 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The team has won four of their last five games and after an 0-2 start, has won six of eight. With Chase back in the lineup, Cincinnati might become a very dangerous team against as the month of December nears.
