C.J. Stroud may have had some struggles during Sunday afternoon’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, turning the ball over three times in the game, but he delivered when it mattered most, leading the team on a last-minute drive to set up a game-winning field goal.

In his Football Morning in America column on Monday morning, NFL insider Peter King shared a quote from C.J. Stroud where he took ownership of his mistakes during the game but rejoiced in yet another last-minute victory for his team.

“I made this game a little harder than it needed to be, turning it over [three times, uncharacteristically],” Stroud said according to King. “But it in this league, it’s hard. It’s hard to get wins. We’re all good. Today, I loved the attention on us. Everybody’s watching to see if the Texans can come to a tough place and win. I love that. I love the attention. I love the pressure. That’s the thing about our team—I’m telling you, we don’t go into any game thinking we can’t win, we won’t win. I’m not made that way.”

With the way he’s played the past few weeks, Stroud is the runaway favorite to win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and he may even be in contention for the league’s MVP Award.
