C.J. Stroud and Snoop Dogg C.J. Stroud and Snoop Dogg

Before C.J. Stroud became a superstar with the Ohio State Buckeyes and now the Houston Texans as a rookie, he was beginning his football career in Snoop Dogg’s Snoop Youth Football League in California. And it sounds like he made quite an impression on Snoop Dogg.

During a recent interview with Inside the NFL, Snoop Dogg had some high praise for C.J. Stroud as he recalled his time in the youth football league, highlighting Stroud’s work ethic even at a young age,

“C.J. has always been a stand-up kind of kid. He’s always been a leader,” Snoop Dogg said. “He’s always been underrated – I’ll say that. I love the fact that he’s always been the underdog that turned into the Wonderdog. He puts in that work ethic, he’s a strong believer in God, he’s got great parents and he’s just a great listener.”

“Any time you’ve got a kid that wants to listen and wants to learn, you can definitely get the best out of them,” Snoop Dogg said. “So, C.J. is one of the kids who’ve come out of the league that we’re so proud of.”

It’s a pretty wild story that Stroud began his football career in Snoop Dogg’s youth league, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It’s definitely an unlikely connection between Stroud and Snoop Dogg.
