When the NFL Draft takes place in April, Ohio State Buckeyes star quarterback CJ Stroud is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks selected in the draft and is projected by most to be a top-10 pick. But as one story explains, it hasn’t necessarily been an easy path for him.

In a Tweet, NFL Rookie Watch shared a story detailing some of the struggles CJ Stroud faced throughout his life, including his relatively poor upbringing and his father’s legal problems.

“CJ Stroud was 13 years old when his father was sentenced to 38 years in prison. This caused Stroud to spend his HS year’s living in a small apartment above a storage facility as the money supply was limited. Stroud wasn’t able to afford a private coach and was hardly able to afford new cleats or contact lenses,” NFL Rookie Watch shared in a tweet.

“This didn’t stop him from pursuing his football dream. Stroud eventually committed to Ohio State and the rest is history. Now, Stroud is on the cusp of becoming the first Ohio State QB to be selected in the Top-10 of the NFL Draft in 41 YEARS. What a STORY”

The incredible story went absolutely viral on social media – for all the right reasons.
