During his time with the Ohio State Buckeyes, center Billy Price had a fantastic career, breaking the program’s all-time record for starts in a career before eventually winning the Rimington Award, given to the nation’s top center. His NFL career has not been quite as prolific, but it sounds like he’s getting another chance to prove himself with another team.

According to a report from Dallas Cowboys beat writer Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys have signed former Ohio State Buckeyes first-round pick to their practice squad.

“Cowboys signed center Billy Price to their practice squad, they announced. This fills vacancy from CB C.J. Goodwin’s promotion to the 53-man roster. Price made 26 starts the past two years for the Giants, Cardinals. The Bengals drafted him in the 2018 first round,” Gehlken wrote on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter.

The move comes after starting center Tyler Biadasz missed last Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals with a hamstring injury.

After a prolific career at Ohio State, Price was selected in the first round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 NFL Draft. After falling out of Cincinnati’s starting lineup, Price was traded to the New York Giants ahead of the 2021 NFL season, where he started 15 games for the team that season.

Last season, Price played for the Arizona Cardinals, starting one game with the team.
