Dalvin Cook has reportedly received “multiple offers” as the four-time Pro Bowl running back searches for his next team.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said Tuesday that Cook may not be in any hurry to make a decision.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Pelissero said Cook may not sign with a team before the start of training camp — and that might be by design.

“There’s four weeks until training camp, and I do not believe that is a hard deadline in the mind of Dalvin Cook or his agent,” Pelissero said. “They can afford to be patient here. The best money may come when teams realize maybe their rookies aren’t ready, or maybe there’s an injury that happens.

“But this is also not a situation where he doesn’t have offers. Dalvin Cook has multiple offers right now. He’s going to command a significant contract.”

The Miami Herald reported Tuesday that the Miami Dolphins are one of the teams that has made an offer to the former Minnesota Vikings running back. The Miami native and Florida State product recently said the Dolphins would be a “perfect fit.” However, the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos have also been mentioned as possible destinations.

Wherever he goes, Cook will command top dollar, Pelissero said.

“He’s in control here, because he’s just that rare player who transcends the market,” Pelissero said. “Guys like this just don’t become available in June.”
