Bears Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers made headlines on Friday. The Bears and Panthers agreed to a blockbuster trade that sends the No. 1 overall pick to Carolina in exchange for the No. 9 overall pick, several other picks, and star wide receiver D.J. Moore, who all go to Chicago.

Sometimes, you never know how players that get traded will react. Moore took to Twitter after learning the news that he has a new home.

Moore posted two “screaming in fear” emojis with shocked looks on their faces. Obviously, it seems like the move took him for a ride.

Moore enjoyed five really good seasons in Carolina. Despite weaknesses at quarterback, Moore totaled over 5,000 yards in his time with the Panthers. He recorded exactly 5,201 yards on 364 receptions. This includes his 93-reception, 1,157-yard season in 2021. His career-best came in 2020 when he racked up 1,193 yards on 66 catches.

D.J. joins a Bears team that is in desperate need of talent at receiver. The Bear receiver room was lacking to say the least in 2021. Quarterback Justin Fields had a hard time with the supporting cast around him. Now though, it’s fair to say and suggest that the Bears are doing what they can to make sure he’s accommodated. Especially with the news that D.J. Moore was a “must have” in the trade, according to Joe Person.

We can only imagine his reaction to seeing Bear fans thrilled he’s coming along will be nothing but positive.
