While the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans await contract news regarding cornerback L’Jarius Snead and defensive tackle Chris Jones, news broke on Thursday night that another key defender is returning.
Outside linebacker Drue Tranquill, who helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII in his first season with the team, is returning to Kansas City.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that Tranquill and the Chiefs had agreed on a new deal. Shortly after, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network replied with the specific terms, reporting that “It’s a 3-year deal worth $19 million with $13M fully guaranteed, per source.”
