The Philadelphia Eagles ended the regular season on a very sour note, dropping five of their final six games to fall from an NFL-best 10-1 with a chance to secure home-field advantage throughout the postseason down to 11-6 and the fifth seed in the NFC.
While the road back to the Super Bowl looks tough, one Eagles player is taking the opportunity in stride and may have upset some fans along the way.
“It might be a good thing to go on the road,” cornerback Darius Slay said, via NBC Philadelphia’s John Clark. “They get to booing fast (in Philly). Don’t need the boos,” he added.

Slay has a point, Philadelphia fans do tend to be very vocal about their teams, but also the Eagles have lost five of their last six games, so it’s not as if they’re wrong to be frustrated.
Either way, Slay made sure to later clarify he was just messing around, posting, “Damn y everyone so uptight lol yall fans should kno me by now I play all day,” to his X account.
