It was certainly a rocky season for New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore as he requested a trade from the team midway through the season due to a lack of target and his role in the offense, but ultimately stuck with the team and ultimately finished the season as one of the team’s top receivers. But it turns out, his conflict with the team was more heated than previously reported.

As Zach Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports, Elijah Moore got frustrated when he wasn’t targeted a single time in a Week Six win over the Green Bay Packers. And during practice that week, he exploded on Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, saying “go f— yourself” and “you suck.”

“His frustration spilled into practice that week. That Thursday, Moore surprised teammates and coaches by blowing up on LaFleur, telling him to ‘go f— yourself’ and ‘you suck,’ according to multiple people who witnessed the interaction. LaFleur and Saleh ultimately decided to send Moore home to cool off. That night, he requested a trade,” Rosenblatt wrote in The Athletic.

According to Rosenblatt, Jets head coach Robert Saleh diffused the situation. Both Moore and LaFleur “hugged it out” and there were no issues the rest of the season. But this is still a shocking scene.
