One skill a lot of football players try to perfect or attempt in games, yet fail at miserably, is the art of hurdling. But one rookie running back has already hurdled his way into the top five best hurdlers in the league.

Ezekiel Elliot was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the recent 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. The Cowboys knew they were getting a great running back. What they may not have known is they got a potential Olympic hurdler as well.

Whoa. Kid has some hops.

You know who doesn’t? This South Carolina football player, who shows that what Elliot did is no easy feat.

But seriously. Watch Elliott’s hurdle again and then watch this clip from the 2016 Rio Olympics. He could hang in for a little bit.

Overall, this was just another highlight of the Cowboys season thus far. With a win on Sunday, Dallas improves to 2-1 on the season largely in part to their two stud rookies: Elliott and Dak Prescott.

Both Elliott and Prescott have been impressive thus far in their rookie seasons and took their games to new levels Sunday. Elliot rushed for 140 yards, while Prescott completed 19 of 24 passes for 248 yards and his first career touchdown toss.

Elliott was the fourth overall pick while Prescott was a fourth-round pick many thought would back up the now injured Tony Romo.

Within a game full of highlight plays by Cowboys rookies, Elliott’s hurdle impressed quite a few fans.
