The biggest NFL scandal over the past few years has been gambling. Several NFL players have been suspended from the league for gambling.

Jacksonville Jaguars wideout Calvin Ridley is just now returning to action after being suspended for a year for gambling.

But right after that, several Detroit Lions players were suspended for several games or a year for gambling too.

NFL coaches are now voicing their opinion on what they think about the new NFL gambling policy. Coaches basically are issuing a warning to their players to be careful and aware of the policy.

“It’s a presentation we will do during training camp as well again,” said Washington Commanders head coach Ron Riveria.

“[It’s] just so we continue to hammer these things home that we’ve got to be very, very careful and understand that the integrity of the league, and integrity of each team, and the player’s own integrity, and coaches’ integrity, for that matter, are at stake. And we have to be very diligent about that,” he said.

As expected, New England head coach Bill Belichick has been on top of the situation from the get-go according to Patriots defensive lineman Deatrich Wise.

“Bill Belichick actually talked about that in very large detail,”  Wise said. “He always tells us what we need to do, what we need to stay away from. We had a whole meeting just about that. We do a good job of learning from Coach Belichick.”

It’s shocking to hear that some NFL players like the Lions’ Jameson Williams who was suspended six games for gambling, had no idea the NFL even had a gambling policy.

But they know now, and if they don’t follow the rules, they will be punished.
