One of the most important things for an NFL quarterback is awareness on the field. But unfortunately for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew, he appeared to be lacking awareness on the field in a crucial situation on Sunday afternoon – and he got brutally mocked for it.
During Sunday afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Indianapolis Colts found themselves with the ball deep in their own territory trailing the Ravens by a score of 17-16 late in the game. Naturally, the team was trying to get the ball downfield and try to set up a game-winning score, but a lack of awareness not only gave points to the Ravens but gave them the ball back, as well.
As Minshew dropped back to pass and tried to avoid pressure in the back of the end zone, he accidentally stepped out of bounds resulting in a safety, giving the Ravens two points and the ball.

It was an absolutely brutal mistake that had NFL fans mocking the veteran quarterback and comparing him to former quarterback Dan Orlovsky, who made a similar mistake during his time playing in the NFL.

Ultimately, the Colts were able to get the ball back and managed to tie the game with a field goal, but it’s still brutal move from Minshew.
