May we all love something in our lives as much as NFL media members love Indianapolis.
Whenever there’s an announcement that a sporting event is happening in Indiana’s state capital, there’s a cheer that leaps across Twitter as they all come together in the same way they all seem to love Bruce Springsteen. Whether it’s because of the ease of getting around, the facilities, or the plentiful shrimp cocktails, they never seem to have a bad thing to say about this Midwestern marvel.
That was the case again on Tuesday when the NFL announced that the 2023 and 2024 NFL Scouting Combines would be in Indianapolis.
The 2023 and 2024 NFL Scouting Combines will be in Indianapolis, source said. The issue was just discussed and presented at the league meeting.

Almost immediately, a cry rang out across social media from NFL media members far and wide to proclaim this as the good and only decision possible, for to hold the combine anywhere else would be sacrilegious on a level us mortals could not understand.
Good, it shouldn't leave Indy. It's a great set-up for the prospects, and it always has been https://t.co/Ivhzi57e7S

scrolling through the quote RTs on this and enjoying how it’s like 75% sportswriters losing their minds in celebration because sportswriters love Indianapolis so passionately. very wholesome https://t.co/LVODBKZru1

Coaches at this year’s Combine lobbied for this. (I’m also celebrating. Love listening to players’ interviews before the draft & choosing careers I want to follow.) https://t.co/kD8Any5MWG

Right move, only move. Combine should be in Indy forever. https://t.co/iM6fvvvrOJ

Good. It should stay there permanently! https://t.co/z6hBdfVgYr

Big for Indy. And the teams and event staff will be happy, too. I can’t tell you how many talked this year about how they really wanted to keep the combine here. https://t.co/SlDfrvxyEl

I told you back in late March that the 2023 combine would be in Indy. Glad to hear the 2024 combine will be there as well. It makes too much sense from a football standpoint to move it (yet). https://t.co/HCWuOUfsE6

The NFL has announced that Indianapolis will host the NFL Combine in both 2023 and 2024.
The Combine stays in Indy. As it should.

There were a few hold-outs who were hoping for a warmer weather location, but given that most major sporting events get that kind of treatment, it’s nice to see the NFL throw a bone to a city outside of California, Florida, Texas, or Nevada.
Logistically, Indy has perfected the combine, so it's a no-brainer to keep it there. But I was hoping they'd move it someplace with good weather. Yes, I know nobody cares. https://t.co/5qDWwlBp8c

Would have been cool with going somewhere warmer. https://t.co/yLaJNRDoq2

And so, if you need to find NFL media members during the month of April, you could do worse than just showing up in Indianapolis and shaking a stick.
