At one point during the regular season, it looked like the Philadelphia Eagles were one of the most dominant teams in the league and would once again have a chance to make a run at the Super Bowl. But the team collapsed down the stretch, winning just one of their last six games culminating in a Wild Card round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was a crushing turn of events that has many speculating that the team could choose to fire head coach Nick Sirianni, but quarterback Jalen Hurts does not seem to be a fan of that idea.

When asked whether or not he would want Sirianni to return as his head coach next season, Jalen Hurts sounded surprised by the question.

“I didn’t know he was going anywhere,” Hurts said of Nick Sirianni according to Tim McManus of ESPN.

Hurts was then asked his confidence level that Sirianni could do what is necessary to fix the team, and he made it clear that he does indeed have faith in his current head coach.

“I have a ton of confidence in everyone in this building. It’s just a matter of us going out there and playing clean football. That is something that we have not done.”

We’ll have to see whether or not the team decides to bring back Sirianni after everything that happened at the end of the season.
