During training camp this week, Miami Dolphins star cornerback Jalen Ramsey suffered a brutal knee injury that will keep him out until at least December as he required a full meniscus repair. But despite the setback, the Dolphins star sounded upbeat after surgery.

Following his surgery on Friday, Jalen Ramsey took to social media to provide and update and send an optimistic message to fans.

“Surgery went well To my teammates & fans, thank you for the prayers and support!! I promise I will attack this rehab and be back stronger than ever… this will just part of the greater story down the stretch! Adversity is opportunity! God is so great! FIN5 UP!” Ramsey said in a tweet on Friday.

Ramsey was carted off the field during Thursday’s practice after injuring his knee during a collision with teammate Tyreek Hill. It was soon determined that he would need a full meniscus repair.

The Dolphins traded for Ramsey – a three-time All-Pro cornerback – back in March to pair him with current star cornerback Xavien Howard. The move figured to give the team one of the top cornerback duos in the league, but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer to see it on the field.
