It sure didn’t take long for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to emerge as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors as he helped lead his team to a Super Bowl appearance in his first season. And it sure doesn’t sound like he plans to slow down anytime soon.

During a press conference this week, Ja’Marr Chase revealed quite a bold plan, suggesting that he wants to own “every receiver record they have” for the Cincinnati Bengals before the end of his career.

“Cincinnati stuff. Stuff to have my name written around this whole facility,” Chase said according to the Cincinnati Bengals team website. “Every receiver record they have.”

Chase specifically mentioned T.J. Houshmandzadeh’s record for catches in a single season with 112. But he acknowledges that it will certainly be a challenge, especially with other talented wide receivers on Cincinnati’s roster.

“It’s hard getting catches in a game. Especially if you’re doubled and there’s another star receiver on your team,” Chase said. “You almost have to catch every pass that comes your way.”

It’s certainly a bold goal from Chase. We’ll have to see if he is able to make a run at the record this year.
