The Cincinnati Bengals are already without superstar quarterback Joe Burrow for the remainder of the season after he suffered a season-ending wrist injury. And as they head into a pivotal game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend, it’s looking like they will also be without superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, as well.

Ja’Marr Chase suffered a shoulder injury during the team’s win over the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. And as the team prepares for this week’s showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has now been officially ruled out by head coach Zac Taylor.

“#Bengals coach Zac Taylor officially rules out WR Ja’Marr Chase this week against the #Steelers,” league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Chase has been one of the most dominant wide receivers in the entire league so far this season with the seventh-most yards of any receiver in the NFL this season. He has been crucial in giving the Bengals’ offense a spark without Burrow on the field, and the NFL world had a lot to say about hit absence this week.

It’s not clear exactly how long Chase will be sidelined with the injury, but the Bengals take on the Kansas City Chiefs the following week as they look to keep their postseason hopes alive.
