Raiders Jeff Saturday

Jeff Saturday is going from the ESPN studio to the NFL sidelines in a hurry. The new interim Indianapolis Colts head coach will make his debut this weekend against the Las Vegas Raiders, the team he just so happened to say looked “horrible” just last week.

Something tells us the Raiders are going to take note of that.

The 14-year NFL veteran was just tweeting out his honest feelings last weekend as he watched the Raiders get shut out by the New Orleans Saints, 24-0. Like so many other NFL fans and media members, Saturday noted that the “Raiders look horrible.”

That was no biggie when he tweeted it, but a lot has changed since then. Now he’s a head coach of an NFL franchise who has to meet Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels and shake his hand while coaching against a team full of NFL players who know how he really feels.

This experience is going to get very serious, very quickly. In the meantime, there are lots of folks in NFL circles who took note of the tweet and had some fun thoughts on how both teams might feel about it now.

If the Raiders beat the Colts this weekend, expect this tweet to be mentioned once or twice.
