The New York Jets have struggled on offense all season with third-year quarterback Zach Wilson at the helm. And it finally seems like the team has had enough of Wilson, pulling him from their Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills.

The Jets shocked everyone in Week 1 of the season by defeating the Bills in dramatic fashion. But Sunday’s game went far differently, as the Bills offense was able to get out to a commanding lead, a lead that the anemic Jets offense was unable to overcome.

Wilson struggled again in Sunday’s game, leading to the Jets scoring only six points through nearly three quarters of play. This prompted the team to pull Wilson from the game in favor of veteran quarterback Tim Boyle.

The Jets were trailing by 23 at the time of Wilson being pulled, a difficult, but not necessarily insurmountable, lead to overcome in a quarter..

That being said, this means that they seem to believe Boyle gave them the best chance to come back in this game. And fans had plenty to say about it.

Fans have been calling for a change at the quarterback position for quite some time now. But Tim Boyle isn’t exactly the most ideal quarterback to be playing for the Jets. In 17 career appearances, Boyle has just three passing touchdowns while throwing eight interceptions.

As you would expect, things didn’t exactly get much better once for the Jets with Boyle under center. He completed 50% of his passes in his relief appearance with one rough interception near the end of the game.

The Bills would go on to win 32-6 in a dominant victory, and there are now some serious questions regarding the future of Zach Wilson with the Jets.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh was asked by reporters after the game who would be the team’s starter for their Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins, where he said that he was “still undecided”.

With this latest performance and benching for Wilson along with the impending return of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the near future, it seems very possible that Wilson may never take another snap for the Jets organization.
