Over the past couple of weeks, Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has emerged as the apparent top candidate to become the next coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. And the two sides appear to be taking another major step toward making that a reality.
According to a report from league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Los Angeles Chargers are set to meet with Jim Harbaugh for a second time this week to discuss their vacant head coaching position.
“Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is expected to meet this week for a second time with the Los Angeles Chargers about their head-coaching job, per sources,” Schefter wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, a second meeting between the two sides is pretty significant news as it means the first meeting likely went well enough to continue discussions. As a result, the NFL world had a lot to say about this turn of events on social media.
And if that results in a blessed union, the next decision for Michigan should be easy.https://t.co/zUyck8fvYw https://t.co/XBFFIiOBVp

Can we please just move along get this over with as quick as possible?
If Jim plans on leaving, just step down so we can do an immediate search. This is so exhausting. https://t.co/ArYlXAhoeZ

I wonder why the Chargers haven’t scheduled a second interview with anyone else 🧐 https://t.co/442vL89JT6

We’ll have to see whether or not Harbaugh ends up as the next head coach fo the Chargers. But it certainly appears that there is mutual interest between the two sides.
