For the past three seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals have boasted arguably the league’s top wide receiver tandem with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins catching passes from star quarterback Joe Burrow. With Higgins now about to be an unrestricted free agent, that future is not a little bit in question. But it sounds like Burrow expects to have Higgins again next season.

During his press conference this week, Joe Burrow addressed the contract situation regarding Tee Higgins, making it clear that he believes Higgins will be a part of the roster next season.

“Well obviously, we’d love to have Tee back,” Burrow said in his press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “He’s a big part of what we’ve done here. And it’s no secret, our relationship.

“So, I expect Tee to be back. I think that’s the sentiment in the locker room — we all want Tee back. We know what kind of player he is, we know what kind of person he is. He’s what being a Bengal is all about. So, like you said, we’ll see. But I think we should have a good opportunity.”

With Chase also due for an extension along with several other young players, it would seem difficult for the Bengals to work out extensions for everybody given the salary cap. But we’ll see how they manage.
