It’s a big day for a lot of fantasy football leagues as many of them are in their playoffs and every injury can make or break an entire season. That might just be the case now that Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor’s Saturday is over prematurely thanks to an injury.

Taylor had a good start to the day with his first touch being a 13-yard reception from quarterback Matt Ryan. However, he suffered an ankle injury soon after, likely on the same ankle that has bothered him all season. He was seen entering the injury tent and then gingerly returning to the locker room. Turns out he will not return for the rest of the day.

Deon Jackson and Zack Moss will have to carry the load for the Colts, but that’s small consolation to the many fantasy football owners who were counting on Taylor to rack up some big numbers and perhaps carry them to victory in a playoff showdown. That won’t happen now.

It’s been a disappointing season for Taylor fantasy owners this season (not to mention for the guy himself). He currently has 861 yards on 192 carries with four touchdowns, a far cry from the previous two seasons in which he put up monster numbers. Hopefully, his injuries heal and he’s able to return to form soon.
