Josh Allen Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (17) throws against the New York Jets during the first half of the home opener at MetLife Stadium on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, in East Rutherford.

The New England Patriots have been one of the worst teams in the entire league this season, but that doesn’t mean the Buffalo Bills will be taking them lightly ahead of this week’s matchup, especially after losing their previous matchup against the Patriots earlier this season.

During a press conference this week, Bills quarterback Josh Allen made it clear that he thinks the team needs to be at its best against the Patriots this season because the Patriots will want to ruin their season this week.

“The fact that we lost Game 1, tells you we’ve got to put our best stuff out in the field, or we’re not going to win this game,” Allen said according to Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News. “And, frankly, it’s a game that we need to win. And they know that. We know that. If I’m in the New England Patriot locker room, I’m looking to ruin their season. You know, an opponent’s playoff hopes are on the line, division rival.

“So, they’re going to be ready to go. I can guarantee you that. That in turn makes us have to be ready to go, as well.”

It’s a vitally important game for the Bills as they attempt to clinch a spot in the postseason. We’ll have to see how they perform.
