NFL fans were busy on twitter in the immediate aftermath of the Chicago Bears’ loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, blasting the officiating crew for a brutal no-call on a potential pass interference that ultimately cost the Bears a chance of winning the game. Bears quarterback Justin Fields voiced his opinion on the matter shortly after the game concluded.
“I wasn’t sure during the play,” Fields said, per Patrick Finley, Chicago Sun-Times. Chicago Sun-Times. “After I saw it on the replay board, it was definitely P.I., for sure. Just missed it. Can’t do anything about it. Just have to move on to the next play.”
If the pass interference call had been made, the Bears would have had the ball within the Dolphins’ 25-yard line with 1:29 remaining.
Here's the no-call — on what should've been pass interference — on the Justin Fields deep ball to Chase Claypool.

It certainly seems like the referees missed the call. But at least Justin Fields doesn’t seem to be feeling sorry for himself or the team following the loss.
While Bears fans are certainly upset about the loss, Fields had perhaps the greatest game in his young career on Sunday.
His 178 rushing yards in the game broke a regular season record for the most by any quarterback, surpassing Michael Vick for this NFL record.
While the Bears sit at 3-6 on the year, their future outlook looks far brighter than it has in recent years with Fields seemingly taking the next step as a quarterback this season.
They will look to get their fourth win of the season next week in an NFC North matchup against the Detroit Lions.
