Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson did not sign a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings this past offseason, putting quite a lot of pressure on both sides to get a deal done this offseason as Jefferson heads into the final season of his rookie contract. But Jefferson doesn’t seem too worried about it.
During a press conference this week, Justin Jefferson downplayed the upcoming contract talks a little bit, saying that his future contract is “a conversation for the front office to really speak about.” However, he did express some confidence that the two sides would ultimately get a deal done.
“For me, I’ll just continue to play my ball and do everything that I can for us to get the win,” Jefferson said, via Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com. “I feel like with my play and all of that, everything is going to happen the way it needs to happen. I will just continue to be myself and go out on that field and give it my all.”
Over the past few seasons, Jefferson has emerged as arguably the top receiver in the entire league. Obviously, the team would love for him to remain with the Vikings for the foreseeable future.
