It’s safe to say that New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this year after he didn’t contribute much during the first four games of the season and was sidelined completely the following four games. But it doesn’t sound like he’s too worried about proving himself.

When asked if he felt like he had anything to prove to the team’s coaches after a disappointing start to the season, Kenny Golladay had a pretty blunt response.

“I’m really not trying to prove nothing to no coaches,” Golladay said according to the New York Daily News. “Really I’m out here playing for my guys, these people in the locker room. Of course I got to show on the practice field to the coaches, but at the exact same time, I’m playing for the guys in this locker room, period.”

Golladay did, however, say that he wants to make an immediate impact for his team once he returns.

“That’s what I’m pushing for,” Golladay said. “That’s my main goal: to hit the ground running.”

Golladay will have a chance “hit the ground running” when the team takes on the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon.
