Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray got the chance to play his first game since December on Sunday, and he certainly made the most of it, leading a game-winning drive to help lift the Cardinals over the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 25-23.

After the game, Kyler Murray made it clear that while he was happy to get back on the field for the first time after suffering an ACL injury last year, it wouldn’t have meant much to him if it didn’t come with a victory.

“I just want to win,” Murray said in his postgame press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “It feels good to win. I mean, that’s like the icing on the cake. It’d been a [bad] night to come out here and lose and then kind of just all this build up for what, you know what I mean? So, I’m just happy for us and the team, man. I’m just happy.”

Murray had a strong performance individually during the game, completing 19 of 32 passes for 249 yards while adding six rushes for 33 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

It was certainly a successful return to the field for Murray. We’ll have to see if he can keep that momentum going.
