The Arizona Cardinals have started backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs for their first seven games, resulting in a 1-6 record. But it appears that the Cardinals will have their real QB1 back very soon.
On Thursday, Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray was a full participant in Cardinals practice for the second straight day. Furthermore, Murray no longer even has an injury designation.

Murray has missed the entire season so far due to a torn ACL and last played in Week 14 of the 2022 season.
Now, just because Murray is off the injury report doesn’t that he’ll play in Sunday’s Week 8 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes. But as Rapoport adds, “Either way, a great sign.”
#AZCardinals QB Kyler Murray, who was a full participant today, is off today's injury report.
That doesn't necessarily mean he's playing this week, just that his knee injury is no longer limiting his practice work. Either way, a great sign.

The PHNX Cardinals Twitter account shared video of Murray practicing, noting, “Kyler Murray continues to ramp up at Arizona Cardinals practice. K1 still working with the Cards practice squad WRs & TEs during the open portion of practice.”

Murray’s 21-day window to return from the reserve/physically unable to perform list opened last week.
Even though Murray appears to be healthy now, it may still take him some time to be game-ready and comfortable running Arizona’s offense. The Cardinals could choose to wait another week and have their Week 9 game at the Cleveland Browns as the target date for Murray’s return.
Murray, 26, threw 14 touchdown passes and seven interceptions in 2022, putting together a career-worst 87.2 passer rating (after a career-best 100.6 passer rating in 2021). The dual-threat star has 23 career rushing touchdowns over 57 career games played. He signed a five-year, $230.5 million contract with the Cardinals over the 2022 offseason.
Dobbs, a journeyman veteran, has thrown six touchdown passes with three interceptions and an 81.8 passer rating in his seven starts this season for Arizona.
