The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best and most dominant teams in the league so far this season, but they haven’t necessarily been able to throw the ball downfield consistently, and quarterback Lamar Jackson isn’t happy about that and thinks one of those plays cost the team the game against the Cleveland Browns this weekend.

During his press conference this week, Lamar Jackson said he was “pissed off” about the lack of production throwing the ball down the field, particularly when he missed wide receiver Zay Flowers on a deep shot during the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

“I mean it’s right there. I’m pissed off about it to be honest with you,” Jackson said according to the Baltimore Ravens team website. “I watched the game, and it’s like it might be a difference in the game if we connect with that one. Can’t dwell on it. Hopefully this Thursday we catch them when we want them, we have success with the deep ball, we connect and have chemistry there. I believe it’s there, in practice we do it all the time. Those guys catch the ball down the field 40 yards, 50 yards down the field. We need to transition that over to the games, that’s all.”

According to Pro Football Talk, the Ravens are just 3 of 13 on throws of 20 yards or more since Week Six. They’ll obviously want to improve on that in the coming weeks.
