The Baltimore Ravens have a 7-2 record and are clearly one of the most dominant teams in the NFL so far this season. But star quarterback Lamar Jackson doesn’t think the team has played its best football just yet – and he doesn’t seem to think they’re going to have to, either.

The Ravens pulled off a 37-3 blowout win over the Seattle Seahawks this week, and quarterback Lamar Jackson made it clear that as long as the team continues to play like this, they’re not going to have to worry about hitting their peak this season because how they played is good enough.

“If we’re playing like that, we don’t even need to hit [a] peak or stride,” Jackson said in his postgame press conference, according to Pro Football Talk, adding the Ravens need to “just keep staying locked in how we are and just playing every opponent the same way [with] physicality, being smart, and defending what’s ours — our home turf.”

The win left Jackson sounding pretty unconcerned about how close this team was to performing at its peak. Instead, he’s just worried about building on this momentum.

“I wouldn’t say we’re far off or we’re close, we just need to keep doing what we’re doing,” Jackson said. “Keep stacking and keep getting better each and every week.”

It’s certainly a scary thought for the rest of the league that the Ravens might not have played their best football yet.
