With a loss this week to the Washington Commanders, the New England Patriots now fall to 2-7 on the season and have the worst record in the entire AFC. It’s been quite a disappointing year for New England, and it’s led to some clear frustration for quarterback Mac Jones.

During a recent interview, Mac Jones admitted it was difficult to stay confident when the team is struggling so much, but he has no regrets about the way that he’s prepared and worked because he knows he’s done everything he can do.

“Yeah, it’s tough,” Jones said according to Pro Football Talk. “I think the biggest thing, like you said, is remaining confident in yourself. When you do everything you can every day, you should have no regrets. I have no regrets. I do need to do things better, but I’m always going to work hard and put in the hours. That’s all I can do, right? Motivate people around me to do it, as well. I’m always going to be the same person. Obviously, like you said, the results aren’t there right now. It stinks. There’s no excuses.”

It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how the remainder of the season plays out for the Patriots and what sort of changes the team makes to try and remedy the situation.
