New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is the subject of an NFL investigation after New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner claimed the quarterback hit him in is “private parts” during the game. But Jones is now defending himself.

Sauce Gardner claims that during Sunday afternoon’s game, Mac Jones hit him between the legs shortly after the cornerback helped Jones to his feet after a play.

Gardner even showed a video of the alleged incident on his social media account.

During a press conference this week, Mac Jones defending himself from criticism, saying “nothing was intentional” and that he simply got up and went back to his team in the huddle.

“Sauce is one of the best corners in the NFL. I have a lot of respect for him. On that play, nothing was intentional. I just got up and went back to the huddle, and that’s it,” Jones said according to Pro Football Talk.

The league is currently investigating the alleged incident and could face a fine or a suspension if the league deems that the incident is worthy of such punishment. The NFL announces its fines on Saturday, but there’s always a chance that the decision is reported before then.
