Joshua Dobbs burst onto the scene this season after he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings and immediately led them to a couple of victories after just a short time with the team, but it looks like the team is going in a different direction as the quarterback position for the rest of the season as Nick Mullen will be the team’s starter for the remainder of the year.

Following the injury to starting quarterback Kirk Cousins, the team initially traded for Joshua Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals, expecting that he would lead the team for the remainder of the season with Cousins out. But the team benched Dobbs during last week’s 3-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and Nick Mullens seemed to do enough in the 27-24 overtime loss to the Bengals to earn the starting quarterback role.

According to a report from NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, Mullens is expected to remain the team’s starter going forward.

“Quarterback Nick Mullens is expected to make another start for the #Vikings on Sunday vs. the #Lions, per sources. Mullens passed for 303 yards last week vs. Cincinnati, Fowler said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Mullens threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns in the game, but also had two crucial interceptions.
