It’s no secret to many who have followed the NFL in recent years that the New York Jets have had poor play at the quarterback position, but one particularly jarring stat highlights just how bad the team’s quarterbacks have been over the past few years.

As the social media account Football Perspective points out, the Jets have not had a quarterback with 10 or more passing touchdowns since Sam Darnold back in 2019.

“It’s hard to believe this is true, but the Jets have gone four straight seasons without any player having 10 passing TDs. 2019 was the last time a Jets QB has double digit passing touchdowns,” Football Perspective pointed out in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

“Assuming Zach Wilson finishes the year with 8 TD passes, the Jets will be the first team since the ’88-’92 Patriots to go FOUR STRAIGHT SEASONS without a single passer throwing for 10 TDs,” Football Perspective continued in a follow-up post.

Obviously, this is pretty horrible news for the New York Jets as it highlights just how poorly the team’s quarterback play has been in recent years, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

Obviously, the team will hope to see this unfortunate streak come to an end next season when future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns to the lineup after his season-ending Achilles injury this year.
