Brian Hoyer is a veteran quarterback who has played and started a lot of games in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he’s won a lot of them, particularly recently. And that trend continued this week as he extended a pretty unfortunate streak.

Filling in for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo for the Las Vegas Raiders this week, Brian Hoyer did not do particularly well, leading to a lopsided loss for the Raiders. And as league insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network pointed out on social media, this means he has now lost 13 straight games with five different teams.

“Down 30-6 to Tyson Bagent and the #Bears in the fourth quarter, the #Raiders are pulling Brian Hoyer for their own rookie QB, Aidan O’Connell. This will be 13 straight losses with five teams for Hoyer as a starting QB, dating to 2016, when he was with Chicago,” Pelissero wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter

It’s an absolutely brutal stat for Hoyer, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

It’s certainly not a losing streak that Hoyer will be particularly proud of.
