Despite Tom Brady’s continued denials, ESPN NFL Analyst Troy Aikman thinks that Jimmy Garoppolo’s latest injury may open the door for Brady to come back and play for the Raiders.

“I don’t want speak for Tom, but I wouldn’t rule anything out,” Aikman told TMZ. “He obviously has a relationship with the head coach, he knows the offense, he’ll keep himself in good shape.

“… I would bet that just nothing is off the table, as far as what may occur during the season or what Tom’s role may be. I think he’s done playing, but you just never know, ” he said.

The Raiders released information about Garoppolo failing his physical the other day which kicked off lots of speculation concerning his health going into the season and who could be his replacement if can’t play or if the Raiders decide to cut him.

Garoppolo is still recovering from foot surgery. But of course, fans had to add their two cents about what Aikman had to say, and let’s say the comments were interesting.

Even though Brady owns a piece of the team, some fans still are convinced that he will be making yet another comeback, while others are excited about the thought of Brady in a Raiders uniform.

We will see if Aikman is right about a potential Brady return.
