Patrick Mahomes has been in the NFL since 2017, but he has yet to actually play in Lambeau Field as he was sidelined by a knee injury when the team faced the Packers in Green Bay back in 2019. But that’s going to change this week, and Mahomes is quite excited about it.

During his press conference this week, Patrick Mahomes made it clear just how much it means to him to have the opportunity to play in such a historic venue, saying he’s watched games in the stadium “my whole entire life.”

“I’m extremely excited for it,” Mahomes said in his Wednesday press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “I’ve watched it my whole entire life, and I know it’s going to be a hostile environment; the fans are going to be loud, it’s going to be a lot like Arrowhead is to other teams like you’re saying.

“I’m excited, if you love football, you love Lambeau Field. I’m excited to get the opportunity to play there.”

So when Mahomes takes the field against the Packers this week, it won’t just be a regular football game for him. He’ll be feeling the history of such an iconic sports venue.
