YOU KILL THE JOE, YOU MAKE SOME MO’! YOU KNOW THAT BABY!

That’s the kind of smack talk former New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is probably dispensing in his new work environment. You see, Mayo has become a real-life office linebacker.

He may not be taking on quite the same role the fictional Terry Tate once served in the old Reebok advertising campaign, but he has confined himself to working in an office in the healthcare industry.

Mayo shared some insight into his new work life on the Toucher & Rich show on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, while also promoting an event coming up and sharing some thoughts on the current Patriots.

“Just driving in to work like the common folks,” Mayo said as he hopped on the air in the morning drive-time. “I work with United Health Group [in Boston]. I have a real job. Corporate America, baby! I needed that locker room feel. You get that in corporate America.”

Well, everyone has a different take on the real-life working world, but this led to some obvious Terry Tate jokes.
