Eagles Christmas

The Philadelphia Eagles are in the Christmas spirit.

Caroling is a celebrated pastime of the season and Philadelphia got off to a fast start. Several Eagles players recently hit the music studio. Linemen Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson got together to take on their own rendition of a classic carol.

Mailata and the Philly Special Christmas Instagram account posted, “Wake us up Jordan Mailata! Are we dreaming? A Philly Special Christmas first single releases this Friday. Can you guess which song it will be?”

The trio of Eagles linemen sang the iconic “White Christmas.” The Bing Crosby version of the song has over 330,000,000 plays on Spotify. Probably an unrealistic expectation to meet for the Eagles, but they did a pretty great job nevertheless.

On YouTube, it was revealed that the group recorded earlier this summer in July.

The idea was Kelce’s, he revealed in the video. He said, “I love Christmas. I had an idea that doing a Christmas album would be great. The problem is I can’t sing. So, I knew I was going to have to coax guys that could sing to come do this. And that’s why I went to Jordan and Lane and some actual musicians.”

The album, distributed by Vera Y Records, will be released on December 23.
