If Las Vegas Raiders fans think that Raiders owner Mark Davis is about fire head coach Josh McDaniels, think again. Despite the Raiders’ problems this season, Davis can’t fire McDaniels for one good reason: they can’t afford to according to one media member.
Los Angeles Times reporter Bill Plaschke said even if Davis wanted to dump McDaniels they don’t have the money to do so.
“I’m saying right now: Josh McDaniels will be the coach this year and next year,” Plaschke said. “Raiders don’t have the money to fire him, to pay him off. They’re cash-poor.”
Report: The reason the #Raiders won't fire Josh McDaniels is financial – "They don't have the money to fire him."
The team is "cash poor" and can't afford to fire McDaniels and then pay another coach, according to @BillPlaschke

When pressed again by “Around the Horn” host Tony Reali, he reiterated his statement.
“I have learned that they don’t have the money to fire him,” he said. This is Daniels’s first year with the team who has faced several off-the-field issues and injuries that have led them to only winning three games this season.
The most likely scenario is the team may part ways with long-time quarterback Derek Carr. Carr has thrown for only just over 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns. His numbers were expected to be higher with the addition of wide receiver Davante Adams, but that hasn’t been the case so far this season and while Daniels may not be expendable, Carr could be.
