Rihanna’s Super Bowl 57 performance may have been a bit too much for some folks in the audience a few weeks ago. According to TMZ, the FCC received over 100 complaints about her performance.
Rihanna, who is clearly very pregnant, apparently scared some viewers with her performance. Some complained about the lyrics to her songs, while others complained about the red outfit she wore and comparing her performance to singer Sam Smith’s performance of his hit “Unholy” at the Grammy’s the week before.
One viewer even said “I don’t care what someone worships but children shouldn’t be exposed to pornography and as an adult I don’t wish to see it … Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self?”

I guess some of these viewers had forgotten that Valentine’s Day was going to be a few days after the Super Bowl and may be that’s why she wore red.
But the 100 complaints are nothing compared to the nearly 600,000 complaints received after the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake performance. The ironic thing is that several viewers were disappointed that Rihanna didn’t do enough during her performance.
They also criticized Rihanna’s lip-synching as well but overall most were pleased with her performance and saw nothing wrong with what she did.
