Following Sunday afternoon’s loss to the New England Patriots, the future of Russell Wilson with the Denver Broncos appears to be quite up in the air. But Wilson didn’t necessarily want to talk about it after the game.

During his postgame interview after the brutal loss, Russell Wilson was asked about his uncertain future with the Denver Broncos after another disappointing performance, but he didn’t exactly want to talk about the future as he successfully avoided answering the question directly.

“I’m just worried about next week and playing great football,” Wilson said. “I came here to win and win a championship for us and to find a way to do that. I obviously love being here with these guys, these teammates. I’m excited to keep playing ball and playing hard for us.”

The Broncos are set to face a pretty massive hit to their salary cap regardless of whether or not they choose to keep Wilson, but there is a chance that he could be willing to renegotiate his contract with the team and stay with the Broncos.

One way or another, Wilson’s status with the team will continue to be a major storyline in the NFL going forward.
