Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was one of the most outspokenly blunt players in the NFL throughout his career.

Not much has changed during his retirement, either.

Lynch appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay show and revealed his problematic relationship with quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll.

“I wouldn’t be the right person to speak on they relationship because I didn’t [expletive] with them,” Lynch said. “I didn’t [expletive] with Pete, and Russ was like just a quarterback for me.”

Lynched revealed that Wilson blocked his number.

“I don’t know how or why, but I just know I got a call from a blocked number,” Lynch said.

Lynch wanted to relay a vote of confidence in Wilson following a rough performance by the quarterback, but it apparently didn’t land.

“His response to me was kind like, ‘The [expletive]?’ So, I told him again like, ‘Nah, bro, I’m here for you, we gonna rock.’ His response was the same,” Lynch said.

He also took aim at how Carroll played favoritism with Wilson throughout his time in Seattle. Carroll told the team to come to him with any issues with the quarterback instead of going directly to Wilson.

“You’re kind of putting him on a pedestal or outside the box, and it’s like he doesn’t have to be held accountable to the same [stuff] that we do,” Lynch said. “What the [expletive] is that?”

Lynch also confirmed that he laughed in Carroll’s face after he ordered Wilson to throw the ball on the goal line at the end of Super Bowl XLIX against the Patriots, which cost them back-to-back Super Bowls.
