The good news continues for Foster Moreau. The veteran tight-end revealed in March that he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma during a routine physical with the New Orleans Saints. Then, Moreau announced that he would be temporarily stepping away from football to focus on his health.
Fortunately, Moreau has received another positive diagnosis and plans to play in 2023.
On Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Moreau reached an agreement with the Saints on a three-year, $12 million contract. Moreau’s deal with New Orleans includes $8 million fully guaranteed and an additional $3 million in incentives.

The 26-year-old Moreau was a 2019 fourth-round draft choice of the Las Vegas Raiders. After spending the past three seasons in Las Vegas, Moreau has decided to head to his hometown New Orleans. He attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans and played college football at LSU.
In four seasons (2019-22) with the Raiders, Moreau hauled 91 receptions for 1,107 yards with 12 touchdown receptions. Last season, Moreau recorded a career-high in receptions (33) and receiving yards (420), with two receiving touchdowns.
Not only will he now have the opportunity to return to his hometown after receiving a clean bill of health, but Moreau also reunites with his quarterback, Derek Carr, in The Big Easy.
The NFL world – Carr included – reacted to the excellent Saints news on social media:

Foster Moreau received a very positive diagnosis, per source. He's still getting treatment but it won't impact his participation. The Saints will bring him along slowly, but he is not expected to have any limitations.

#Saints getting Moreau on a three-year deal is huge for them and him.
So cool that he'll have a landing spot immediately when he's ready to return to football. And it's home. https://t.co/znHCFHbWZi

Foster Moreau and his camp have been adamant from Day 1 that stepping away from football was just a pause, not an end to his career, as he undergoes treatment. Really cool story that he'll end up a Saint after all. https://t.co/pHlWzLoj29
