New York Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner received a lot of attention for his performance against the Dallas Cowboys. While Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb hauled in 11 catches for 143 yards with a touchdown and Gardner dropped a potential pick-six, the second-year corner out of Cincinnati actually graded out pretty well.

All things considered, Gardner did a pretty solid job of keeping his side of the field in check. The Jets’ zone defensive scheme doesn’t have Gardner shadowing the opposing team’s No. 1 wide receiver, so Lamb was able to find some holes in Gang Green’s zone and have a big day at the office. But it didn’t come at Gardner’s expense.

Now, “Sauce” is going absolutely viral and garnering a lot of attention on social media for a different reason.

Gardener was spotted at a Brooklyn Deli called the “Ocky Way.” The Ocky Ways refers to a style of sandwich making that Arabic New York City bodega and deli chefs are known for. The style features large portions of meat, fried food and more, stuffed into a sandwich. The term was coined on TikTok in late 2020 and has made user @rah_money1 an international superstar and his Deli, a must-see tourist attraction.

Gardner stopped by earlier this week and ordered a chopped cheese, sausage, egg and cheese on a honey bun the “Ocky Way.”

“Ock,” as Gardner refers to him, is a bit of an eccentric character who has many sayings that have become popular on TikTok, including his signature catchphrase, “Don’t forget the bev.”

Those in the NFL world were quick to react to Gardner’s major move.

The Jets are going to need Gardner at his best if they have any chance of ending their losing streak against the Patriots on Sunday..
